The Degree Regulations of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences specify the regulations of the legislation on universities of applied sciences. The document includes more specific regulations and guidelines regarding degrees, degreeprogrammes, curricula, studies, study guidance, attendance at classes, credit transfer, practical training, final project, evaluation and certificates.

The Regulations of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences are aimed at providing prerequisites for a safe and comfortable study and working environment, which promotes learning. The Regulations concern all the people studying and working at the University of Applied Sciences. The ruling principle is active, positive and ethically responsible behaviour, which shows appreciation to other people, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyle. The supervision of the Regulations is the responsibility of the entire academic community.

Non-smoking campus: Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences is a non-smoking organisation as of 1 August 2010. The decision applies to both staff and students.

Graduation: All students who complete a degree at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences obtain a Diploma Supplement - free of charge and without request - on their graduation. The Diploma Supplement is a document that provides a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies completed at the University of Applied Sciences. The Diploma Supplement, which is based on a European template, is attached to the degree certificate of the University of Applied Sciences. It also contains an overview of the educational system in Finland. The purpose of the Diploma Supplement is to enhance transparency and to facilitate academic and professional recognition of qualifications.

Urkund – student’s instructions: Urkund is a network service against plagiarism. It checks whether there are sections in academic theses or other assignments which may be copied from material on the Internet or other theses. It is also possible to detect electronic sources used in the written assignments and check the correctness of references used in them.
